Vintage 1930's Navajo Dazzler Rug
Expertly woven Navajo "Dazzler" design rug. From the 1930's possibly 1940's, hand woven wool. This rug was found in a 100 year old trading post in Arizona. It stood out among a sea of color, slightly aged with time. There are a few spots that have minor wear, it is stunning in its old age.
Modern day Navajo rugs are often woven from commercially produced yarn, it is a rare and lucky thing to have one woven from hand woven wool. We like to drape our Navajo rugs over our couch, an ottoman, chair or you can always hang on a wall to display as art.
One of a kind, truly an heirloom piece.
We have made sure this rug is ready to go home free of dust by letting it sit in the hot sun and flipping both sides. Once a year we bring our Navajo rugs outside to air out and let the sun heat it out. You can also wrap it in a plastic bag and place in the freezer for 24 hours to give it a refresh. Never machine wash a Navajo rug, use hot water or spot clean with chemicals. You can vacuum lightly with the brush head of a vacuum.
Measures 21'' x 32''. Hand woven, hand spun wool.
